Tampa Bay DUI Victim Asks Judge To Give Teenager A Second Chance

In 2008, 17-year-old Hannah Nicole Price T-boned a car driven by Johnny Rae Grates and Kristina Greganova on U.S. 301 in Zephyrhills.Price allegedly had marijuana, alcohol and a tranquilizer in her system at the time of the accident. She was charged with DUI with seriously bodily injury and is facing a 10-year prison sentence.

Grates and Greganova were at every hearing for the teenager up until the time Greganova passed away from cancer and Grates brought her to court in her urn. Grates had been pursuing for a long sentence for Price but that all changed this week when he asked the court to spare Price from prison for the DUI accident.…

Tampa Mom Pleads No Contest To DUI Charge That Led To Probation Violation

A Tampa woman pled no contest to DUI charges that led to a probation violation for not sending her daughter to school. Charlotte Fair was sentenced to 12 months of DUI probation that will run concurrently with the probation she is serving for not ensuring her daughter was going to school. She was also sentenced to 50 hours of community service, a six-month license suspension and a $500 fine.

The Hillsborough County judge hearing the case did not require Fair to seek counseling but she did say Fair could use any hours spent in counseling towards her community service requirement.…

Hillsborough County Man With Blood-Alcohol Level Of 0.218 Charged With DUI Manslaughter

A 35-year-old Hillsborough County man has been charged with DUI manslaughter according to a story on TBO.com. Paul Michael Parks has been arrested and remains in jail with no bail set. According to deputies Parks had a blood-alcohol level of 0.218 at the time of a head-on crash that killed 47-year-old Karen Weaver of Riverview. Parks was also charged with two counts of driving under the influence with property damage or personal injury.

The accident that cost Weaver her life took place December 19 on Big Bend Road. Parks is accused of driving east in the westbound lane and causing the collision.…
