Hillsborough County Sheriff’s arrested the son of the Pinellas–Pasco County State Attorney on charges of drunk driving in Tampa early Sunday morning. Patrick Thomas McCabe was arrested on charges of DUI with property damage after he hit a fence near the intersection of Miley and Stanley roads in Plant City. He was released on $500 bail.
According to TBO.com McCabe ran a stop sign and crashed through a chain link fence on the side of the road. When deputies arrived McCabe smelled of alcohol, had red, watery eyes, and was unsteady. He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.168, which is double the legal limit.
