Tampa DUI News – Former Bachelor Contestant Arrested For DUI In Tampa

Tampa DUI

A former contestant on ABC’s “The Bachelor” is back in trouble with the law as she was arrested for a DUI in Tampa early Thursday morning. Mary Delgado appeared on the TV show in 2003 and 2004. In 2007 she was accused of battery in Seminole when she allegedly punched her former finacee and “Bachelor” co-star Bryan Velvick in the mouth following an argument at a friend’s condo. Delgado is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer cheerleader who was picked by Velvick in the season six finale of “The Bachelor”. The two never ended up getting married.

According to reports The Bachelor contestant was arrested at West Shore Blvd. and West Kennedy before 1:00 a.m. TBO.com reports that Delgado is a real estate agent with 20th Century Real Estate. She was charged with misdemeanor DUI and refused a breath test. Hillsborough County Jail records show she was released on $500 bail.

According to various reports on the Internet including one from TampaBay.com, Delgado was arrested in Texas as well for an incident involving alcohol in 2008. She was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The incident took place in Del Rio, Texas. Delgado allegedly would not leave Lorina’s Cantina when asked citing the rights afforded to her by the Constitution as the reason she would not exit the bar. Velvick reportedly bailed her out of the Val Verde County Correctional Institute following that incident just as he did in Pinellas County following her arrest for punching her then-fiancee.

All three of Delgado’s reported arrests have involved alcohol. Her arrest in Pinellas County was a battery charge but according to reports she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of her arrest. There is no mention that Delgado was convicted of any crime following her two previous arrests.
