Tampa DUI News– Woman Who Served A Year For DUI Manslaughter Arrested For Second DUI

Tampa DUI Lawyer

In May of 2004 15-year-old Deanna Cain was killed in a DUI crash that landed her 19-year-old friend Tiffany Marie Graham in jail for one year on DUI manslaughter charges. Graham was 19 at the time and she was sentenced as a youthful offender. While Cain’s family never wanted Graham to serve a 15-year prison sentence they also worried that just one year in jail wasn’t enough either according to TampaBay.com. It seems the young girl’s parents were right.

Graham has been back in trouble with the law since serving her DUI sentence. In March she violated her probation with a petty theft charge. Graham was accused of stealing health and beauty items from a Sweetbay Supermarket. She pled no contest to that charge.

Things got even worse this past weekend. According to the TampaBay.com story Graham was on Treasure Island in Pinellas County when she sped into the parking lot of a local beach restaurant. She allegedly hit a parked vehicle and was brought back to the scene of the accident from the beach. Graham said she was driving the car that witnesses pointed out as the vehicle that struck the parked car. Graham denied she hit anything.

Officers noticed signs of impairment and ran a check on the 25-year-old. Her DUI manslaughter conviction popped up as did the fact that she had her driver’s license revoked and that she was not supposed to be drinking alcohol. She was given a portable breath test at the scene which, according to the story, registered at 0.226. She also reportedly failed field sobriety tests.

Graham has been booked into Pinellas County jail on numerous charges. She is facing charges of driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, violation of her DUI manslaughter probation and now her second DUI charge.
