The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting an armored car was hit by a Hillsborough County drunk driver. The drunk driving accident sent two men to the hospital in critical condition and caused money to spill all over the roadway at U.S. 41 and Dale Mabry Highway. Jose Soto of Lutz was charged with DUI, violation of right of way and driving with a suspended license.<
The two employees of the armored car company that were injured in the auto accident were taken to St. Joseph Hospital. Soto’s injuries were called minor in the story published on TBO.com. The money that spilled out onto the Pasco County road was collected by workers with Dunbar Armored. According to the FHP most of the money that hit the streets was coins and not bills.
