According to police and a story on TBO.com the car that collided with a streetcar on Channelside Drive this past weekend was not driven by a drunk driver, unlike another trolley car collision in Tampa in January. The most recent crash seems to be the fault of a driver who did not see a stop sign and is expected to be cited with a Florida traffic ticket.
Nobody was injured in the collision but as mentioned previously it is the second such collision between a car and the trolleys this year.
