Early Monday morning 24-year-old Shannon Brown was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license and child abuse when she was determined to be driving under the influence with her 3-month-old baby in her car. Brown was taken to Hillsborough County Jail after being stopped at 1:15 a.m. near Armenia Avenue and Martin Luther King Blvd. according to a story on Tampa Bay.com.
According to police Brown’s 2002 Chevy was seen swerving out of its lane at least six times. After she was pulled over, police approached the woman and reported smelling alcohol and marijuana. The report also states that Brown was unable to perform field sobriety tests. Brown’s baby was in the rear seat and the child’s father was also present in the vehicle where he was drinking and also seemed intoxicated.
