Two people who were booked for drunk driving in 2008 are suing Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies claiming they were injured. A story on tampabay.com says the cases stem from videos taken at the breath-testing facility. The videos were requested by an attorney who was reviewing the tapes to see if the rules surrounded breath test machines were being followed.
The attorney was apparently disturbed by the treatment of two people while reviewing the videos. One of the plaintiffs claims he was choked by deputies and the other claims had her head slammed into a wall while being dragged in for breath tests.
